Gateway on Broadway is a historic preservation and adaptive reuse of an old warehouse building into affordable housing apartments in the Russell neighborhood of West Louisville, KY. Built in 1921, the building used to be a candy factory and later on, a tobacco warehouse, but has sat vacant for 50 years.

Louisville-based Housing Partnership, Inc. acquired the property and completed renovations in the fall of 2025. The 5-story structure was renovated into 116 units for seniors on the upper floors, while the first floor features retail space, a community service facility, office space, and a retail bank branch. Each residential floor features common areas and laundry facilities.

HOPE provided a $25 million construction loan for the project through the purchase of tax-exempt bonds issued by the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) and a $5.75 million construction bridge loan. HOPE is also providing $12 million in permanent financing. The project received both federal and state historic tax credits, as well as low-income housing tax credits from the KHC. The property has a Housing Assistance Payments contract with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
